SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

*Beginning October 1 families can file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):  www.fafsa.ed.gov*


Raise.Me Micro-Scholarships
All students grades 9-12 are eligible to create an account to earn micro-scholarships throughout high school for things like attending a college fair, completing the FAFSA, playing a sport, taking the PSAT, volunteering, and more!! WENDY'S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Senior athletes
Amount: $5,000
Deadline: October 17th

DR PEPPER TUITION GIVEAWAY
Create a video about your academic & professional goals, tell us how winning the scholarship would impact your life.. see FAQs for more details https://www.drpeppertuition.com/faq
Who: students between the ages of 18-24
Amount: $100,000
Deadline: October 17th

HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors who are pursuing a bachelor's degree (students may start at a two-year institution and transfer)
Amount: Scholarships range from $6,000-$25,000, renewable
Eligibility Criteria: Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)     
                                     Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
                                     Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Deadline: October 25th 

VOICE OF DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP
Create a 3-5 minute audio-essay on the theme "Why My Vote Matters"
Who: Any 9-12th grade student
Amount: $1,000-$16,000 & Trip to Washington, DC
Apply: Download the application at https://www.vfw.org/community/youth-and-education/youth-scholarships or pick up a form from Mrs. Russ, all entries must be submitted to your local VFW Post by the deadline
Deadline: October 31st

COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Who: Seniors
Amount: $20,000
Deadline: October 31st

SCHOLARSHIP POINTS SCHOLARSHIPS
Who: Students age 13+
Amount: $1,000-$10,000 
Deadline: October 31st

NATIONAL CO-OP SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors applying to Clarkson Univ, Drexel Univ, Johnson & Wales, Merrimack College, RIT, SUNY Oswego, Univ of Toledo, Univ of Cincinnati, or Wentworth Inst of Tech.
Amount: $6,000, renewable
Eligibility Criteria: minimum 3.5 GPA (See Mrs. Russ)
Apply: Online at www.waceinc.org
Deadline: February 15th 
    *Clarkson: Dec 1st- Early Decision or Jan 15th- Regular App
    *Drexel: Nov 15th- Early Decision or Feb 1st- Regular App
    *Johnson & Wales: Nov 1st- Early Decision or Dec 15th- Regular App
    *Merrimack: Nov 15th- Early Action 1/ Early Decision, Jan 15th- Early Action 2, or Feb 15th- Regular App
    *SUNY Oswego: March 1st
