SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

Raise.Me Micro-Scholarships
All students grades 9-12 are eligible to create an account to earn micro-scholarships throughout high school for things like attending a college fair, completing the FAFSA, playing a sport, taking the PSAT, volunteering, and more!! STEPHEN J BRADY STOP HUNGER SCHOLARSHIP
Who: 7th-12th grade
Amount: $5,000
Qualifications: performed volunteer service impacting hunger in the U.S. within the past 12 months
Deadline: December 5th

COMCAST LEADERS AND ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors
Qualifications: financial need and commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, leadership, and integrity
Amount: $2,500
Deadline: December 7th by 5pm

AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors
Amount$2,500, $10,000, or $25,000
Qualifications: demonstration of ambition and self-drive as through outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
Deadline: December 14th

BURGER KING SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Who: Seniors
Amount: $1,000- $50,000
Deadline: December 15th

DOLMAN LAW GROUP SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors
Amount: $1,100
Apply: Create a 2 minute Video Essay on the following topic:  Explaining, Preventing, and Pursuing Discrimination in the Workplace.
Many times, people in the workplace suffer from harassment, retaliation, and illegal discrimination. This can lead to depression, anxiety, lost wages, and even job loss. VERMONT JCI SENATE SCHOLARSHIP

Amount: $500-$1,000

DISCOVER STUDENT LOANS SCHOLARSHIP

Amount: $10,000

NATIONAL CO-OP SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors applying to Clarkson Univ, Drexel Univ, Johnson & Wales, Merrimack College, RIT, SUNY Oswego, Univ of Toledo, Univ of Cincinnati, or Wentworth Inst of Tech.
Amount: $6,000, renewable
Eligibility Criteria: minimum 3.5 GPA (See Mrs. Russ)

THE STEPHEN PHILLIPS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Who: Seniors seeking a bachelor's degree at a four-year college
Amount: $3,000-$15,000; renewable for 4 years
Criteria: Students should have a history of part-time employment, be in good academic standing, and must have financial need: students with Expected Family Contributions (EFC) of about $10,000 or less. Families with special, extenuating financial situations should call or e-mail to see about applying (978-744-2111 or staff@spscholars.org). Use the financial calculator on the scholarship website to be sure you qualify financially (you will need the scholarships & grants that your choice college has offered you in a financial award package).
Apply: online at www.phillips-scholarship.org starting in December 2018*give yourself 4-10 hours to thoroughly complete the application responses and also allow time for recommenders to complete requests prior to the deadline. Application includes one formal essay, a few short responses, and a resume. You need to upload your FAFSA student aid report & financial aid award info from the college/university that you plan to attend.
Deadline: May 1st @ noon OR early response by April 3rd @ noon* only if you have the financial aid info from your choice school, the first 300 students who submit before April 3rd will receive a decision before the college reply date of May 1st
