Raise.Me Micro-Scholarships
All students grades 9-12 are eligible to create an account to earn micro-scholarships throughout high school for things like attending a college fair, completing the FAFSA, playing a sport, taking the PSAT, volunteering, and more!! Future of Assisted Living Scholarship
Awards of $2,000
Who: Seniors who plan to attend a 2-year or 4- year college or university
Deadline: December 31, 2017
  • Must include an introductory bio about yourself - 250 word max.
  • Must write a 500-750 word essay on "How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?"

2018 GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship
Awards of $10,000 renewable, up to $40,000 total
Who: Students who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, & citizenship and plan on attending a 4-year college or university
Qualifications: GPA of 3.0
Deadline: January 4, 2018

United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship
Awards of $1,000; in addition to $500 from the Vermont Jaycee International Senate for each applicant submitted for national judging and $500 to one applicant based on need
Who: Any senior heading off to college
Deadline: January 20, 2018

Elks Lodge Scholarships
  • Roger Sheridan Memorial Scholarship
    • Awards of $500
    • Qualifications: Any senior entering college for a career in Physical Education
    • Deadline: Application must be delivered to the Springfield Lodge #1560 no later than Monday, January 1, 2018
  • Legacy Awards
    • Awards of $1,000 a year for the 2018-19 through 2021-22 academic years
    • Qualifications: Any senior who is the child, step-child, grandchild, step-grandchild, or legal ward of a living Elk. The Elk must be a paid-up member through March 31, 2018. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. Student must be enrolling in a 4-year undergrad degree program at an accredited US American college or university
    • Deadline: Apply online at www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/legacy.cfm, no later than 11:59AM (central time) Friday February 2, 2018
  • Lodge 1560 Scholarship
    • Awards of $500
    • Qualifications: Any senior enrolling in a 4-year undergrad degree program at an accredited US American college or university
    • Deadline: Application must be delivered to the Springfield Lodge #1560 no later than Friday, April 17, 2018

National Co-op Scholarship
Awards between ten to thirty $6,000 scholarships renewable for up to $24,000-$26,000 per College/University criteria
Who: Students applying to Clarkson Univ, Drexel Univ, Merrimack College, RIT, NYU Oswego, Univ of Cincinnati, UMASS Lowell, Univ of Toldeo, or Wentworth Inst. of Tech
Qualifications: GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale
Deadline: February 15, 2018 *with earlier deadlines for Clarkson, Drexel, Merrimack, & UMASS Lowell

Knights of Columbus Scholarship
Awards of $1,000
Who: Sons or daughters of a Knight of Columbus (paternal or legally adopted) in good standing in a subordinate Council within the Vermont jurisdiction. Sons or daughters of deceased members are also eligible if their father was in good standing at the time of his death. Must be a senior qualifying to graduate in June 2018 and looking to further their education.
Deadline: March 10, 2018

The American Legion of Vermont Scholarships
Offering (1) Department of Vermont Scholarship for $1,500, (1) Department Commander's Scholarship for $1,000, & (10) $500 Scholarships
Who: Any high school senior
Deadline: April 1, 2018

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship
Renewable four-year scholarships; $211,900 went to 31 Vermont students for the 2017-18 academic year
Who: Students from New England with financial need who are seeking a bachelor's degree at a 4-year college in the US
*Successful candidates are those who display academic achievement, service to others, good character, leadership qualities, and a willingness to work to contribute to college, personal, and/or family expenses. We also value demonstrated grit and resiliency in students who have faced significant challenges.
Qualifications: GPA of 3.0 or higher, financial need: check the financial eligibility calculator on the website to see if you qualify
Deadline: May 1, 2018 or the early response option by April 3, 2018
-Includes a formal essay and short written responses
-Requires a resume
-2 recommendations are required, but more are welcome
